Teen Drivers Education

At Monroy Driving School, we know that getting a driver’s license is a major milestone for your family. As a small, community-based business, we take that responsibility personally. We don’t just teach teens to pass a test; we coach them to navigate the busy streets of Houston and the growing neighborhoods of Pearland with confidence and care.

Based in Houston and Pearland, we offer TDLR-approved courses designed to fit your family’s schedule. Choose the classroom experience or the comfort of home—both backed by our signature local expertise.

A Neighbor, Not a Franchise

We are a local, small business deeply rooted in the Houston and Pearland communities. Unlike big-box driving schools where your teen is just a number in a database, we provide the personalized, one-on-one attention a new driver needs. You’ll always talk to a local expert who knows our neighborhoods, our schools, and our families.

Patient In-Car Mastery

We don’t just teach "driving"—we teach how to navigate our roads. From the busy merge on Hwy 288 to the unique traffic flow of the 610 Loop, our instructors are patient local experts. We build real-world defensive driving skills and confidence on the actual routes your teen will drive every day.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer both! As a local small business, we know Houston and Pearland families have busy schedules. You can choose our engaging in-person classes at our Houston location or opt for our flexible online course to study from home. Both paths lead to the same state-certified permit.

  • After completing the first 6 hours of the classroom (or online) portion and passing the written test (which we administer!), your teen will receive their DE-964 certificate. You can then head to the Houston or Pearland DPS with the required documents to apply for their learners license.

  • Consistency and care. At our school, your teen isn't just a number in a database. They’ll likely work with the same local instructors who know the specific traffic patterns of the 610 Loop and Hwy 288. We pride ourselves on patient, one-on-one coaching that builds real-world confidence, not just "test-taking" skills.
